ਤਰਨਤਾਰਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਭਾਰਤ-ਪਾਕਿ ਸਰਹੱਦ ‘ਤੇ 40 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਤੱਕ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਕੇ 2 ਸਮੱਗਲਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਓਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ 2 ਕਿਲੋ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ, 1 ਤਸਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਲੱਤ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਥਾਣਾ ਚੋਹਲਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਐਫ.ਆਈ.ਆਰ. ਦਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
In a major breakthrough, Tarn Taran Police arrested 2 notorious smugglers after a chase of 40 Kms on Indo-Pak border and recovered 2 Kg Heroin.
During the chase 1 smuggler arrested after a brief encounter in which he got his leg injured.
FIR under NDPS Act is registered at PS Chohla Sahib and Investigations on-going to establish backward & forward linkages.
