Inter- State weapon supply gang busted, 04 members arrested 02 weapons recovered.
FIR no. 110 Dated 26.07.2023 U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act PS Doraha
Under the leadership of Mrs. Amneet Kondal IPS, Senior
Superintendent of Police Khanna under supervision of Dr. Pragya Jain, IPS Superintendent Police
(I), a special drive has been launched to nab the criminals supplying weapons in Punjab.
Continuing this drive, a team comprising of DySP Harsimrat Singh PPS Sub-Division Payal, Insp.
Amandeep Singh Incharge CIA staff Khanna & SHO Doraha arrested 04 accused in the said case
and recovered 02 weapons.
On July 26.07.2023, the Police Party of PS Doraha was present at
Punjab PUNSUP Godam Doraha. When an informer informed that Prashant Kaura, S/o Rajesh
Kaura, R/o Hapar Nagar, Meerut, PS Sadar Meerut (UP), and Krish Lawrence, S/o Lawrence Joel,
R/o House No. 88, Mission Kapod, near Hapar Nagar, Meerut, PS Sadar Meerut (UP), had earlier
supplied, 01 pistol without magazine and cartridge to Karambir Singh, S/o Jaswinder Singh, R/o
House number 01 Vishal Nagar, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, PS Dugri, District Ludhiana. Today,
Prashat Kaura and Krish Lawrence were drove by their own car Tata Nexon UP-15-DY-3656 to
supply magazines and cartridges to Karambir Singh. On basis of this secret information, FIR 110
dated July 26, 2023, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act, was registered at PS Doraha, and the investigation
was carried out.
Prashat Kaura and Krish Lawrence were apprehended by the Naka Party 02
magazine pistols and 13 live cartridges 32 bores were seized from the Tata Nexon UP-15-DY-3656
colour Black. Another Police Party arrested Karambir Singh with the said weapon .32 bore.
During the investigation of the case, while questioning the accused, it came to light
that the accused had brought this weapon from person named RJ Rupak Joshi, R/o Meerut. RJ
Rupak Joshi was named in the case and arrested on July 27, 2023, with a country-made Pistol . 315
bores, including six rounds of 315 bores, were recovered from his possession.
Due to the promptness of the Khanna Police, these 04 accused have been arrested
and many major incidents have been averted. Further linkages and investigation is going on.
