ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸਟੇਟ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸੈੱਲ ਨੇ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਲਾਰੈਂਸ ਬਿਸ਼ਨੋਈ ਦੀ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਇੱਕ ਫਿਰੌਤੀ ਰੈਕੇਟ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਮੁੱਖ ਸੰਚਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੋ 32 ਬੋਰ ਦੇ ਪਿਸਤੌਲ ਅਤੇ ਦੋ ਜਿੰਦਾ ਕਾਰਤੂਸ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ। ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਫੜੇ ਗਏ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਟਾਰਗੇਟ ਕਿਲਿੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਜਾਮ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
